Digital Health Innovation Award 2018

1st place again in the "Services to Citizens" category

Milan, 8 May 2018 - At the 9th edition of the Digital Health Innovation Award organized by Politecnico di Milano School of Management, the IRCCS Candiolo Hospital (Turin) has won the 1st place award in the “Services to Citizens” category thanks to its patient journey project, implemented in collaboration with Artexe.
 
Artexe reconfirms its leadership position in the development of digital solutions and innovative applications for reception in health care facilities. The award-winning projects are in fact case histories of excellence in the application of digital technologies to improve patient services, reduce waiting time and wasting of resources and facilitate the work of medical and administrative staff..
CandioloThe citizen engagement project implemented for Candiolo facility allows to manage the patient journey in the oncology Day Hospital. The solution enables to accompany the patient along his way thanks to the specially configured digital touch points. Doctors and health care staff are able to monitor in real time the situation of each patient along his path in the hospital.
 
The system manages an average of 100 Patients per day (a 10% increase on the previous year), with around 5,500 accesses managed in 2017, while ensuring greater efficiency of the processes involved and a better sharing of clinical information across other systems already in use in different departments.
 
This award follows the previous recognitions already achieved in recent years, with the projects developed for the Laboratory Valdès in Cagliari (2016), for hospital Careggi - Florence (2015), Desio and Vimercate hospital (2015), AULSS 5 in Arzignano (2013), and finally for the hospital Sant'Anna of Como (2011).

The success of Artexe is based on an approach in reception management that puts the citizen at the centre of the entire service delivery process, in order to guide the customer organizations towards a continuous quality improvement in the access, reception and waiting services for citizens and patients.
